A blessed hospitality table was arranged in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), where pilgrims visiting the Holy Alawi Shrine were received and served. In this context, the Shrine’s Guesthouse launched an extensive program to provide consecrated meals to visitors, in line with its mission of service and care for pilgrims.
The Head of the Hospitality Department, Miqdad al-Khirsan, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s Media Center that more than 15,000 lunch meals were distributed in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her). He added that hospitality tables will continue throughout the night and day of the blessed birth anniversary, bringing the total number of consecrated meals distributed to more than 100,000.
He further explained that, in addition to full meals, various types of sweets are also being distributed as part of the service efforts dedicated to commemorating this auspicious occasion. Four main locations have been designated for the distribution of consecrated food: a site near the street of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him), a site along Shaikh al-Tusi Street, a service point in Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him) Residential City to serve pilgrims in the surrounding areas, and the main guesthouse facility.
In parallel, hundreds of consecrated meals have been delivered to orphan homes, charitable institutions, and hospitals. This initiative forms part of the broader humanitarian and social programs implemented by various departments of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, inspired by the noble biography of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and his enduring legacy of generosity, compassion, and service to the community.
